Permanent hire. -- Lucent Technologies Software Developer September 1997-January 1999 Working for the AG Communication Systems division of Lucent Technologies, I was on the development team for a product called JusticeTrax LIMS-plus(tm), a commercial app that is the industry leading packaged used by law enforcement agencies, crime labs, and forensic scientists for laboratory case management and analysis. This application, written in Visual FoxPro, supports SQL Server, Oracle, and Foxpro native tables for its backend data. In addition to this development work in Visual FoxPro, I also assisted in the migration of this app from VFP to a component based (COM) application with the GUI and business rules written in Visual Basic. Adoption of CMM principles was also a concern during this migration and we achieved a Level 2 assessment.
